Know just for the record that there were two Compton Terraces.
The Indian Reservtion one off the Interstate hosted the Dead visits to the Phoenix area from 1987-1992. The '80, '81, '82, and '83 Compton Terrace shows were at an odd, funky site on the Phx.-Tempe border, shoe-horned in amongst several other local attractions. It was next door to Phoenix Municipal Stadium, where the AAA Phx. Giants played for years as well as several MLB teams during spring training.
There's now an office building and parking lot on the old CT site but in the early eighties they would come every summer and, in and amongst the stadium, an amusement park, planes landing to the south at Sky Harbor, and the Phoenix Zoo across the street, Jerry and the boys would pitch their flag and rock our world.
